çCaptains’ Rest Course Spotlight

Santa Maria

Santa Maria golf course is set in 2 valleys which benefit from natural vegetation, streams & lakes to form natural hazards.

The front nine although shorter than the back, is more difficult with several well placed hazards to make life far from easy.

The back nine is easier as it is flatter & wider giving the opportunity to make up for lost points on the front nine!

Two holes worth mentioning is the 7th green surrounded completely by bunkers and the 11th green where there is a lake & stream with waterfall.

Torrequebrada

Hosts of the 1979 Spanish Open, Torrequebrada thanks mainly to the steady management team are at long last bringing this sleeping giant out of the doldrums
With their innovative ideas such as Championship days for large groups have made a high percentage of CRGGOLF clients wanting to go back for more. Further improvements to the drainage of the course has certainly raised the profile of this lovable old rogue!

Definitely one course to be on your list as booking through CRGGOLF will ensure that you get the best possible deal available. With its undulating fairways and slick greens, not one for the faint hearted but well worth a visit or Re-visit if you haven’t been to the course for a while because at long last good things are starting to happen at Torrequebrada Golf

Santa Clara

One course with a new design concept with big tees, manicured fairways & large greens, straight hitting off the tee is a must around here but once on the fairway a good score on each hole is a distinct possibility.

This Parkland course is another gem which is a par 71 and only 5556 metres long from the yellow tees but that doesn’t mean that is any less than a good test of golf.

Rio Real

Rio Real Golf is situated in a lovely valley with superb sea views crossed by the Rio Real Creek that lent the course its name some 40 years ago!!!

One of the more established courses on the Costa Del Sol with fairways & greens generally in immaculate condition – hence the supplement on the CRGGOLF package to play this course but is worth it for the experience.

Los Arqueros

Los Arqueros Golf, a challenging 18 hole par 71 inaugurated in 1991, has been designed by Spain’s Severiano Ballesteros.
The design thinking behind Los Arqueros Golf was to lay out a course which closely followed the contours of the land and was in harmony with the natural setting.
The result is a course which presents a challenge for the experienced golfer and is a real test of skill for beginners. The course demands accurate play, especially on some of the tighter fairways where even big hitters may be advised to play a shorter iron or wood off the tee for greater precision.
