çCaptains’ Rest Golf Courses in Spain Spotlight

Calanova Golf “A Breath of Fresh Air”

Calanova Golf, being the baby of the growing trend of new courses this has rapidly become one of the most popular and friendlier courses on the spanish coast.

The main advantage here is that on all CRGGOLF packages the deal includes a shared buggy all year round – ¨truly a breath of fresh air¨- Perhaps other courses that you need buggies to play should take a leaf out of Calanova´s books and follow suit – otherwise they may be in danger of being left behind. Although not an easy course, it´s wide fairways gives everybody a chance to play and enjoy the course at all levels of handicaps – certainly no handicap discrimination here.

Cabopino

Situated across from Cabopino Port & Beach a few kilometres this, although short in places provides a great test of golf with narrow fairways and tall trees to negotiate meandering through the hillside.

Guadalhorce

Guadalhorce Golf still remains one of the favourite courses whether you are a hacker or a professional, because whilst it is very forgiving for the high handicapper's wayward drives, the length & the greens make this a more than testing challenge for anyone on a low handicap or on professional status.

The 18 Hole course is made up of 2 different nines, the front nine being typically European with undulating fairways and the back nine in an American style with water hazards & tropical vegetation.

The one deciding factor which makes the dedicated golfer coming back for more is undoubtedly the greens which we feel are the amongst best in and around the Malaga area.

Lauro

Lauro Golf is a quaint parkland course with olive, orange, lemon & pine trees for definition of fairways as well as providing hazardous consequences for those unlucky enough to find their ball drift off the narrow fairways.

Coupled with this are the raised greens, bunkers & water hazards to make this a tricky little course to score well on, but enjoyable when you do so!

A further nine holes has been added across the road which gives some players some relief as these nine holes sometimes replace nine of the old nine to make up you 18 holes for the day.
